Will be purchasing an A70 in the next couple of weeks. I keep hearing about the optional lenses but haven't found anyone here in Ottawa that sells them.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

Sandy

This is what I've been able to find out. The Canon lenses seem a little pricey but they are the only game in town. I picked up a conversion lens adapter last week and it fits pretty well. Still haven't had a chance to really play with the filters yet, though.

I just bought the conversion lense adapter. But not the original Canon made, but a aluminium no-name one (made in Japan) Found it at www.soligor.com (Germany) for 19 Euros (16 USD?) Looks good and is sturdy.
Read in another forum that it doesnt lock into the ring mechanism, and that I had to make some small modifications on it. But this was not the case (so apparently there is different aluminium makes out there!)

PS: Mine has, as I said, no name on it - only this text on the rim : " FOR CANON A60/70 TUBE B-52 MADE IN JAPAN"

PSS: I discovered that Soligor had a local branch where I live, only 500 m. from my place :-) went over there, they told me they were selling to shops and not privately, but I got it anyway (Stupid to pay 6 euros for "shipping"!)
So I guess ordering over the net is the thing to do....

Have a look on ebay - there are loads there.
You'll need the type specific adapter ring thingy to attach them to the camera body too.
