I was wondering if anyone has successfully set up and used two 550 Exs' on a 10D (for main and bounce flash). I am thinking of trying this set-up along with a Custom Bracket for shooting weddings. I have read numerous negative posts here and elsewhere about the 550Ex and its E-TTL performance (or lack of) and this has kind of scared me. I have one 550EX already so I'm halfway there and I can't complain about its performance for me thus far. I don't want to have to go thru the hassles of using FEL for every shot and it sounds as if I will almost certainly have to if I go this route at least if I want consistant exposures. I have two Metz 60-CT2's which I have used prior and they've provided good results. I just wanted to upgrade my equipment and the above package would be a little more streamlined then lugging the 60-CT-2 around. Anybody use any other dual flash combinations on the 10-D???? Thanks for any positive input.... Bill

How does the 500EX work? I've never seen one.
I use the 550EX and a 420EX, and this works fine for E-TTL. For some shots, I stick the ST-2E on the camera, then put the 550EX to the left and the 420EX to the right.

I've found using a 550 and a 420 on wireless TTL to be much more dependable and accurate than using a 550 alone on E-TTL. Email me and I'll send you some samples. dgrandy@grandyphoto.com
