Hi people, first of all sorry for my english, i'm italian :D..
I just want to answer about a80's aberrations cause i'm going to buy a new digital camera..
Are those aberrations (purple fridging) so important to make me buy the a70 instead of a80? With the appropriate (manually) white balance those problems disappear?
I greatly thank you for the answers...

There is a free application to remove it or it can be dealt with in Photoshop. I bought a A80 and it has appeared in a few photos but since it can be dealt with in processing I do not consider it to be a big issue. The A80 is an awesome little camera and I would buy it again. It should satisfy most peoples need unless they need something like a G5 or SLR.
Shooting P mode, turning off AiAF in the main menu and setting the exposure to -2/3 seems to be a good choice over auto. But it will not eliminate the purple fringing. It is really blue fringing and is also known as blooming. It seems that the cause is from the current generation of CCDs and is not true Chromatic Aberration (CA).
