Hi All
I am a new digital Canon user (10D) and I have recently joined this excellent Forum. I have read most of the posts on RAW converters and I have recently been pointed to the DCraw (www.fredmiranda.com) website where, after reading the sales pitch and seeing the examples, decided to buy the products. It was all the items for the 10D. The converter, the Canon FVU fix and the Photoshop actions. I have to say that they are excellent and worth every penny.... (a paltry £14.50)
The FVU is now at least twice as quick as it was before and it seems to produce better conversions (I have a couple of old RAW files converted before and I converted them after the fix was applied and they are better...
The other items (The dcraw package and the Photoshop Actions) all work superbly.
IMHO they are a definite thumbs up for someone who doesn't need a fast workflow like myself who can spend hours picking the right image to work on. Any other opinions on the subject or are there even better products out there for conversion of 10D files?
