I'm glad that you guys can make it. From the small email & PM response, & considering that we have about 50 members "in the area", this will be the last WHRRI event I plan for a few years.

We're getting close... Time to wake everyone up so they don't forget! we'll have a gas grill and a fair sized cooler in our truck for lunch time if anyone wants to grill their own food. We'll probably have burgers or brats ourselves but everyone is welcome to join in the fun too!

Anyway, not really the right place for this I guess, but does anyone know of any lens rental places in the Detroit/Toledo area??

In need of a 70-200 2.8 IS for this weekend. I didn't even think about it until late yesterday so a national vendor can't help me.

Let me know if you have any connections or if someone wants a little $$ for the use of theirs :o

Asked the Ford Photo Club to send a e-mail the the members a few weeks ago and I don't recall seeing anything. Will ask the club secretary to send out the invite again. Think many members would have a blast.:) :) :)

Another bump, err, quick update... I picked up two dozen frozen burgers tonight. They will be ready to grill at lunch time during our third POTN outing to the Waterford Hills track. I'll probably look for some soda on sale next week too, nothing crazy though. Maybe a case or two of Faygo cola etc. We'll also have catsup, mustard, sliced onions and maybe even cheese if I can remember to bring it all.

The plan is to also park my truck close to the public side of the track (towards the left as you enter the dirt lot) so everyone can find it easily. I'll post a picture of it later in the week (another shameless bump to keep the thread hot).

Finally got the Ford Photo Club to send out an e-mail to the membership this past Friday the 15th. I know a lot of them will be interested. Will have to see how many join the race weekend.

Hey Jonathan - bring your Laptop and you can download to your HD. I'll bring my 12v inverter so you can run it in your car. OR con Frank into bringing his Laptop. OR start begging for an early 2gig birthday present.

There are other options to gross to mention.

Are the buns with or without sesame seeds?
Is the Mustard Grey Poupon, DiJon, or Stone ground?
Is the silverware solid or plated?

FYI anyone: If you are on the list, the $5 "Pass" is good for Saturday, too. You just can't shoot from the inside of the track without the Sunday safety meeting. You CAN shoot from inside the pits though.

It was a great day at the track! Jonathan and I had a blast. My cards are downloading right now so I don't have anything to post yet but the weather turned out fine. Frank brought us rain coats for our lenses and I only needed to use it once in some light misty rain... I made it a point to take some pictures of the POTN Photog's this time too. I'll post a few shots shortly.
