I can't read the language but it says it has 17.2 mp and can mount EF-S lenses!!!! AND has a 1.6x mag.

It also mentions 9 point autofocus. That, and going backwards to 1.6 cropping factor makes this hard to bevieve that it's real.

NO KIDDING! That would be a total disappointment!

Can't be real. Too contradictory.

Well, actually it says that the sensorsize is 24x36 mm, - BUT it's still looks all fake to me.
Since when did the 1Ds had integrated flash???, 9 point AF?
I am not to sure about the lense, - but I don't think it's ever shipped with the 18-55 kit lense. That wouldn't make to much sense to me anyway.
ISO 100-1600, - a bit disappointing too, - no?

Well, I don't get this. I am not so aware of which 1D cameras there are, but the Romanian web site the link points to has a link to "Canon Europa" (Canon Europe). What about those specifications? How could they be wrong?
I even checked if the url was fake, but it seems to belong to the right Canon company:

There's no way in hell that a 1.6x camera would be called "1DS" .. the "S" is the full frame "1" model. Period.

Why do people make up that rubbish?! Whats the point... Why cant they just sit and wait rather than spread useless rumours!

'cause then we wouldn't need this lovely rumors forum

All this 'baiting' is rather fun, I've no intention of changing my camera right now but I still enjoy the banter on here...If I try to mention it at home my wifes eyes just glaze over and the usual reply to me is 'whatever'.......thats why we hang around these fora.

Maybe it's so that we'll all get worked up in a panic about what canon might do to the 1 series and then accept gratefully another minor upgrade ;)
Seriously though, don't you think it'd kill the 1 series to change it to a 1.6x? I've read all the threads that people don't really care about FF, but I think there are some that do. If you are a pro and NEED to crop something, you can't afford to lose in any way the qual. of the photo. If you're a non-pro (like me) and misjudge the composition or perhaps are too far away from your subject, you want to be able to crop and not lose anything...I just got my first FF and really love this camera. It would be tragic to see this happen to the 1D even if I don't ever intend to buy one again (unless it gets smaller that is....)
