Hi there,
as I have posted I am really struggling with portraits and people photography, today I spent the day with my beautiful little 1yo neice and her mum(my sister). Would like a critique on these shots if possible.

3 looks a tad soft (maybe movement as kids don't stand well :))
1 n 2 are awesome, but 1 would have to be my fav. The color of the wood and shadow in the BG really makes this shot look like it mayhave been set up (in a good way).

Darren, I love #1, too. I think it could be improved with a different, less-centered crop. Maybe taking out some of the stuff to the left and a bit above. Great color and love her expression.

1 is perfect (except for the slight rule of thirds violation), 2 is a bit blown and three is OOF a tad.

number 1 is great. 3 looks like it's focused on her shirt more than her face. If you can use a center focus point, focus on her eyes then re-compose while still holding down the button. good luck and keep practicing!

Love the first one, might do a different crop though. Colors and wood frame are great.

The first one is great. Bueatiful colors and texture. The crop works for me. On the last your settings were ISO100, f/1.8, 1/200. Bump your ISO to around 400 and use f/4. f/1.8 is hard to hit on moving subjects like babies.

WOW! the first one is amazing! Simply perfect. Color, expression, lighting.... Love it!
Second one, I love the moment that you captured.. it is so real... a little soft but I think it works wonderfully,
The last one seems too soft and it looks like flash was used... seems to be glowing on her little face.. The DOF works well, just the focus is a little OOF..
You're off ot a great start from what I can see! Thanks for sharing!
