Anyone know where I can get spares of these in the UK for batteries bought from Sterlingtek (or anywhere for that matter)?

"Snack" sized ziplocks are cheap and easy...and smaller than "Sandwich" sized ones...

As for a source for that little piece of plastic...no idea.

I didnt think anyone used them, I keep my spare battery in my camera bag, its quite safe with no risk of the pins shorting.

I thought that....... until a rechargable PP3 exploded in my pocket.:o Believe me, it's not worth taking the risk and leaving these contacts exposed anywhere other than in the camera!
I find it odd that no-one can source these things. I like your idea of the mini ziplock Joseph. I'll see if I can track some down in the UK.

Thanks for your responses.

It probably looked that way to others too! "no really it IS battery acid, it IS" as they walk off you hear them muttering "disgusting devil, people are getting worse!!" lol...

While it's not a replacement for those covers, an empty plastic Sucrets box works perfectly to hold two 511 batteries.
