Hello,

Dose any one know which version of ZoomBroser is recently the last one?

On the WebPage I found a version update to 4.0.2 but a college told me that he has a version 4.1.0.46.

Best regards

Hi Folks

Just Purchased a G5 last week and it came with version 4.1.1.47
However I note that there is a 4.5.1a updater here on the canon.jp site

http://www.canon-sales.co.jp/drv-upd/digitalcamera/zb451aupd.html

I cant read japanese (being scottish!) but I stuck that link through the babelfish translator. Even then the FTP and HTTP download boxes are the same I wonder if the update works for other versions (i.e. English?) .. I dont know.

Any one brave enough to give it a blast and see? I would but I am on a 56K dial up - it would take ages......

EDIT :- Have since downloaded the 451a update plus other canon software updates from http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/customer/psswup.html
with no problems

Version now reads 4.5.1.148

hope this helps

Andrew

Its not really directly related to ZB versions, but can anyone tell me how I can use ZB to save and browse photo's on a mapped drive?

Basically, I have a file server on my network at home that stores all my photos. Zoon Browser wont let me browse to it though...only the drives locally on my computer :(

**EDIT**

Btw, I downloaded that ZB update and tried it...AVG informed me it contained a virus! Also, the whole installer being in Japanese made it a bit scary.

I run a linksys wireless network at home and quite honestly you are probably better off copying the files from one pc to the other via your network if you are running wireless. It takes forever to open a file otherwise.

Here is the help context:

To assign (map) a drive letter to a shared network resource in Network Neighborhood

1 In Network Neighborhood, double-click the computer that has the shared resource.

2 Right-click the shared folder and then click Map Network Drive.

3 To connect under a different user name, type the name in Connect As.

4 If you do not want to connect to the shared directory each time you log on, clear Reconnect at Logon.

It really isn't that hard Here a few other resources

Hi,

I have the same problem.
I can't seem to download photos from my Ixus 30 directly to a mapped network drive.
Did you ever find a fix?

Thanks,

Paul.

Upgrade to ZB V5. You should be able to access mapped drives with it.

I just downloaded ver 5. I can see my mapped network drive, but the images are all read only. In addition, I don't see a way to download my images directly to my mapped drive as it doesn't show this as an option. Am I missing something?
