Well, I'm finally getting off my lazy butt(these are from July) and posting once again. I actually hurried to buy my 30D before this event began, once i had credentials from the Summer League. I did shoot with my 10D as well, and you might be able to pin point which ones are 10D images and which ones are 30D. Lens used in this were my 70-200 IS(on my 30D primarly-good lighting), 50 1.4(mostly on my 10D), and Tokina 12-24(here and there for some perspective shots and some wide shots under the basket). ISO 1000 to 1250 for the 30D.

I shot a lot, so there will have to be a few parts because of the 8 image limit. Oh well, it'll encourage me to post more.

Well, I shot over 400 photos so it'll take a while to go through and I have to prioritize some things, but lets start out. Apparently i mostly focused on the Lakers team when i did shoot the days I was able to go.

And of course like any sporting event in the U.S. The National Anthem.

Sort of out of order, but for you who like to come 30 minutes before the game, those people got to stand in a long line in the fun heat. As you can see they went back to the parking complex.

Time for some warmups. Focused on the UCLA alum, Famar.

Wish I didn't cut off the hands, oh well.

To be continued......

P.S. here's lil old me on the left with my friend.

Oh yeah, and one of the refs ran me over that first game. I already had a sore neck and wasn't sure if i was going to shoot that Saturday or weekend. He was a real pain in the butt through the beginning but that's another story.

Nice pics. I had a lot of fun there. Don't think I met you, but I'm sure we crossed paths.

I'm sure. I saw a decent amount of people with Rebel XT's and normal range zooms. So I probably saw you. I only went first weekend(Sat, Sunday), Saturday, and Wednesday because of summer classes.

Nice little taster of the event there Grego. The picture of the queue is a great scene-setter.

Looking forward to seeing some more of your action stuff from the games... the hoops season doesn't start over here for a few weeks yet so inspiration is required ;)
