just a little editing with Camera Raw and USM.
and someone help me name this picture besides CRW_6147
i hardly ever shoot in b/w but I kinda like this one. The funny thing is I inteded this to be color too (b/c it was a sunset picture) but after playing with the saturation, I decided I like it better this way.
thanks for looking, and C&C is more than welcome :)

Nice scene,
I suggest you crop the picture to 1/3 trees, 2/3 sky and use a B&W frame.
And call it Coco-Puffed sky ;)
Here is an example: Maybe not the best frame for it, but I think a B&W one works better here.

i like it - in your original form, not the cropped version -
i see it as a very moving picture - the great vastness of the sky, i quite like the photo, i think you did great

Any chance we can see the color version? The silver lining you caught is excellent. Also, I think the cropped version is perfect.

I like that, but I must say I do prefer the crop.
There seems to be three distinct bands of brightness in the sky in the original and I don't think the highest/darkest one adds anything to the picture.

The color and the B/W are both quite nice. Considering the topic matter, JT's comment about a "silver lining" might serve as a title for the B/W.

This one is hard to decide on. The color version is nice, but I think the b/w highlights the silver lining much better. I'm a sucker for a cloud/sun shot with a silver lining, as I'm always looking for the perfect shot of that (I saw the most incredible silver lining created a couple of weeks ago...but I didn't have my camera with me! doh!!)

Got me there, looked like tree tops to me ;)
By the way the color one is also interesting, I could see the clouds now LOL
