I read a few threads recommending http://www.lensmateonline.com/buy.html, but they have Hoya polarization filters which i've read are not the greatest? I have a lense adapter for my G2 already that I got from scopetronix. Can someone suggest a decent polarization filter to check out?
Thanks!
Hans.

I have a Hoya Circular Polarizer, and I like it. Although, it's the only one I've ever used, so I don't have any point of reference... but it really comes in handy on really bright days, and does a great job cutting glare, and enhancing the colors.
Like I said, I don't have another one to compare it to, but I'm pleased with the results.

I have a Hoya linear polarizer - works okay for me. By the way, you don't have to pay extra money for circular polarizer. Linear will work as well.

But I'm a control freak, who likes to pay extra money, for something that will do the same thing as something else I could have bought cheaper. Being able to turn the filter while it's on the adapter feeds my need for a sense of power.

Actually being able to rotate the filter for best polarizing effect is the same for the linear or the circular filters.
I bought the middle value Hoya circular polarizing filter from the Lensmate website, but it doesn't seem quite as good of visual quality as an old linear one I have of a different size (don't remember the brand). I would recommend getting the best quality one you can afford. Probably that top quality Hoya circular from Lensmate would be good, but you can use either linear or circular with the G2.

Will one produce better images than another(linear vs circular)?

I'm sorry I don't know. My old linear does produce better images than my middle class Hoya circular, but I'm taking an educated guess that the top of the line Hoya circular would be better. You'd really have to compare a linear and a circular of the same brand to know for sure, or at least have more experience than just one of each to judge from.
