I ordered a Screen-Shade 200 for my G3 ( www.screen-shade.com) after reading posts on this forum about LCD shades.
The S-S200 is a US$19.95 bellows-style shade, which is intended to adhere to the LCD frame with Velcro.
Unfortunately the Velcro pieces which go on the LCD frame do not allow a good fit when the LCD is closed in its well on the back of the G3 (ie facing in).
I have affixed (aka Super-Glued) matching Velcro pieces to the S-S200 which form a band I can wrap around the back of the open LCD.
This alteration works well and allows use of the S-S200, except when the LCD is completely backed up to the well of the camera (ie facing out).
The S-S200 with this modification is a neat solution to LCD glare problems.
