I'm sure this has been answered before, but searching through the forums I can't find a definitive answer anywhere.
I live in London (rip-off Britain) and I'm going to Hong Kong later in a month. Can I buy a lens there and get it serviced/replaced/whatever by a UK Canon dealer?
I've just been looking at one of my lenses which is a grey import from the US, and it has an international warranty card that isn't stamped (I guess because it was bought wholesale and re-sold).
Also, am I right in thinking that the warranty is only applicable to the person that bought it from the Canon dealer? If I re-sell a lens on eBay or whatever, can the warranty be transferred?
Advice from people who've done this would be much appreciated.
