Big day out yesterday at the Oran Park Drift. This is held for the amatuers that want to give it a go and also for the guys that are serious and need some practice for next months comp!

Overall I was pretty happy with the photos, my keeper rate is going up but I kept missing focus on some of the shots. My panning has definitly improved, I think I just need to keep practicing! These shots were all taken with my 200mm 2.8L and some with my 1.4x Kenko PRO 300DG Attached. I think I will need to buy the 2x version aswell, i dont get enough reach at the moment and its cheaper than getting a 400 5.6L at the moment!

Here's a few of them!

nice shots, I would like see a slower shutter speed though, these all seem slightly too still to feel the real action.

Love number one the most, the framing, and the perspective of the car, All around great shot!

Thanks!

Well I went out there with an aim for the day which was to get my panning right! I have been practicing over the last couple of weeks and found that 1/160 is a good spot for me at the moment. More practice and hopefully i can work that down to 1/100, maybe the odd 1/80th!

Thanks again for your comment.

oh yes panning, looks sooo easy...I tried to pan a car moving abour 30km down the street and it was awful!! Well you are certainly got the right idea! Looking forward to seeing more of your pan work!

Nice shots. I do agree with Livin though, they need some more motion. Keep up the good work!
