Mini GKPE - Winter Gardens

Well a few of use got togather for a Sunday afternoon shoot at the winter gardens. We arrived to find 15 min latter a wedding party and a young lady photgrapher (I only noticed her because of her camera :) ) had taken over.

Hey I was giving her our forum address. And yes Ive told sandra "ok where are the photos I bet you she was good looking" .... wife looks at photos.... "Cant you go any where with out flirting with some woman"...

Well had a quick look through mine, nothing really special, some nice shots of the wee one for the family album, but grabbed the G3 and downloaded its contents, and amongst the blurry, shots of the sky, ground and random stuff I found this one:

hi all! i am the "young lady" in question - takes more than a wee fuss like that to scare me off! and thanks for the implied compliments but geez thats a terrible photo of me! LOL. ive been looking for a digital camera club for ages and the fact that this ones canon basically decided it for me and yes, that IS the piece of paper that 'Weka' handed me and no there's nothing else written on the back HAHAHA! ill put up a pic or two from my own wedding shoot there a bit later when ive got them off the camera

Wish I'd dealt with the groggy head a bit earlier and gotten online... I spent the avo taking a few shots at Mairangi Bay beach, to clear my head. If I'd realised you guys were off taking photos at the same time....

Nice place, that Winter Garden! Too bad I wasn't aware of the closing time: definitely I have to return there soon, as I completely missed the fernery and I spent only few minutes in the "sauna". ;)
Anyway, I've seen some really good shot in this thread. I hope mine half as good as yours!

Momentz is Aaron - the one captured lying on the ground taking a photo :) And I'm Sarah his other half :D We did share the same login - but i decided to create a new one yesterday and now this is me!! :) Momentz coming from our site - Momentz Photography :) We've been browsing the forums for a few months now but this was our first meet and greet.

Well my Macro shots need some more work, mind you with the wedding party crashing in didint help.
I still do my best work alone. I will get some desent macro shots done this week. Im going to make up a ring
system for my 580ex as its $1000 for the macro verson at AC $1300 for the twin unit.

yeah sorry about the 'wedding party crashing in' bit... the bride and groom chose the venue and i was unaware that it was meant to be prearranged... appreciate everyone's patience with the large party and promise not to do it again!

Did you get away with it from the council point of view? I saw that lady loitering around, I assumed it was all OK from that.
