I like to shot Becca _ however on my calibrated monitor is seems just a tad bit too dark and the bee kinda blends in with the flowers stigma.

Could you do me a favor? Would you edit it and post it the way it looks right to you? I have been having all kinds of problems with getting my monitor right and I obviously haven't got it right yet. I would really appreciate it!

Becca _ that image has a lot of detail even in a jpeg format. You should consider getting a Pantone Huey Colorimeter from B&H Photo for $59.95 Click this link (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=search&Q=&b=1939&mnp=0.0&mxp=0.0&shs=PSAUG&ci=1&ac=&Submit.x=9&Submit.y=5) thats $20 cheaper than I paid last month and it does help.
Your photo is hosted in my PBase Miscellaneous Gallery. Anytime you want it removed just let me know.
Processed via PSE 4 - used Shadow & Highlights, Color & Saturation, Contrast, USM 60/1.2/0 and set the frame for web presentation.

Greetings Becca, OK I liked pic number one but bluedog_xt's version is wow! Monitor and printer calibration is a pain in the a**. Why can't the manufacturers correct this hassle. KC

Thanks Bluedog! I love what you've done with the photo. I love how it pops in your edit.
I do need to get some way to calibrate my monitor. Thanks for that link. I will check it out!

Your welcome and glad you like it. A calibrated monitor is a big part in the digital picture processing we all do. If someone edits up an image on just a factory default monitor or what they think looks right can be way off from what others might see that have a calibrated monitor. Even that image I edited for you looks too bright if I set my ViewSonic LCD to the factory settings.
The Huey might not be the most expensive or best colorimeter on the market but it'll certainly get in the ballpark of outputting better photos.
