Is the last shot of the UP 4-8-8-4 Big Boy they have out front? Try to convert it to B&W, I have an image at Betterphoto that I did that to and it makes for a much beter image in B&W, Check it out at the link below, I would be interested in your thoughts, I also have some other rail shots.

I'm not sure of the name, but it is one that they had out front. here are two that I converted to B&W. For the trucks, I'm not sure which picture looks better.

Thanks for the compliment To get the colors I started by annoying my family:)
It took over an hour of waiting and I just kept saying to them "only 10 more minutes" "Only 15 more minutes"over and over again until it got dark. The images were cropped but the colors are real for that time of day in the mountians.
When converting to B&W, Don't just convert to grayscale but use levels and channels, it gives great control over the tones in the final image,

I just did a really quick job to see how it would look. I promise, I don't use that on a normal basis

If you are there when they open in the morning, there is a good chance to catch one on the turntable. Also if it is a day that they are running steam excursions, they do a number of turns during the day. Always a neat show.

Stacie, The reflections in the glass make for a nice image, and that yard engine shot turned out very nice as well. :D

Dan, Had a quick look at your link. Love it, especially the Loco on the roundhouse track. ;)
