... ok, so perhaps 7 months is a little too young to be trying your first fairy floss, but I couldn't resist - just look how he loved it!
I promise though - that was all he had :D

Taken at Luna Park, Melbourne.

Haha, very cute capture.

Yeah, we call it cotton candy here also. When you said fairy floss I was expecting to see him trying to floss his teeth.

Ok.. I'll admit, it was mine. HOWEVER!! It's been years and years since I've had any, and it was so sickly that I ended up throwing most of it in the bin.
Actually... so did the kids... I must be doing something right ;)

And you have the name right, we are the ones that changed it...

HISTORY OF COTTON CANDY It is unclear who the first person to invent cotton candy was. Some say that William Morrison and John Wharton, candy makers from Nashville, Tennessee, invented it in 1897. They invented a device that heated sugar in a spinning bowl that hid tiny holes in it. They received a patent for their machine in 1899. It formed a treat they originally called "Fairy Floss." As the bowl spun around, the melted sugar was forced through tiny holes in the bowl. As soon as it hit the cool air, the melted sugar formed a feathery candy. They introduced their invention to the world at the St. Louis Worlds Fair in 1904 and sold about 68,655 boxes for a quarter a piece.

I love how it says about 68,655 boxes! Think about that, it's more than $17k back in 1904!!!
