thanksThere are a few options... and you'll probably find that different togs have had different experiences with different insurers (good and bad)... I'm sure they'll chime in in due course... although it very much depends on whether you've had to claim or not
I currently use: http://www.photoguard.co.uk/
A couple of other options:
http://www.gloverhowe.co.uk/
http://www.eandl.co.uk/insurance/photo

Don't forget your own household insurance - adding worldwide cover might not that expensive.

Photoguard???? Well on your head be it.
Read http://www.photographers.co.uk/html/photographers-forum-1.cfm?ForumNumber=1497&Title=Phtoguard and see the contempt with which they treat their customers.
This isnt dis-satified customers talking - the rant came from their own Sales and Marketing Manager.
Personally I wouldnt touch them with a disinfected stick!

Try Morgan Richardson 01277 6306666It's an 'interesting' read Gary... but I think the thread on photographers.co.uk is a bit too emotive and muddled to make a serious judgement about anything. The main reason I spend my forum time here is to avoid threads like that
Here's some more reading from earlier POTN threads which may help Zilly make a judgement based on some more input/data. I've browsed them in the past and there's very little (if any) ranting to be seen, just helpful suggestions and experiences...

Try Martin Hale in Bristol, UK.
They do various forms of cover, mine covers my gear in studio-at home-On location-in transit My studio-studio contents-loss of earnings, public liability).
This is all under the banner of "Photographer's Montage policy". It all depends on your needs, but no one could offer all I required at a price that would beat this company. They are endorsed by various UK Photographic bodies, BIPP etc.
