Hi!
I've read that on a digital SLR you have to (or should) use circular polarizer not linear! is that true? and if, why?
best regards

I'm no expert but I believe it is due to the way that the 10D focuses the lens via a beam splitting system. That's all I know.
However, I have tried a linear pol on my 10D and the lens spends all its time hunting for a focus. With a circ. pol it goes straight to focus.
Cheers

I think the problem with linear polarisers, as Ian alludes, is the autofocus, so it's not just an issue with DSLRs.
