I just returned from vacation in Germany. The G3 was awsome.
I copied my photos from the G3 to my PC running XP Pro. XP remaned them sequentially which is a nice feature. I then deleted the photos from my G3.
I wanted to show friends my photos on my TV & I tried copying the photos back to my G3. I cannot get the G3 to "see" the photos on the card. I assume it has something to do with the renaming.
Is there any way to copy the photos to my G3 card so I can show them on my TV?
Thanks
Scott Whittaker

Hi, though time-consuming, I think the Zoom Browser software that Canon bundles with the camera can transfer pics back to the camera.
You should try to use other software programs written for Canon cameras, I personally love Breeze Browser and Downloader, offered by www.breezesys.com.
If you download the files with this type of programs, they usually keep the naming schema of the camera so you can just copy them back on the CF card.
Tip: there is a folder structure all cameras have to obey, study one card with pictures on it before, then try to make a similar structure for the old files.
Hope it helps, Adrian.

Just a thought, but have you tried to put all your photos into a folder and called it DCIM and then put them back on your card, I also had problems with renaming but got over the problem by doing this.

If you have modified your image at all on the pc you can re-upload your images using zoom browser ex.
Note you need to select the option for resizing the image, then select the image size you require.
I am not sure if copying the file back into DCIM will work, mine just says no image.

Just to be clear, you can NOT send modified images back to the camera with Zoom Browser.
