Butterfly & Grasshopper

These two were captured near my ILs on an "adventure walk" with our oldest son. Thought these two turned out great even tho goofed up and shot in jpg mode.

Nice shot of the Tiger Swallowtail and katydid. The color in #1 is a little faded. Perhaps a little more contrast and saturation would add some punch to the subject, just like in #2.

Both are really nice shots. I Kinda like the desaturated look of #1. It gives it a softer more artistic value. Nice Job!

Is it a Katydid? I didn't know, I thought it looked like a grasshopper and my 5 year old informed me that's what it was too. =oP What do I know, I'm SO NOT an outdoor person! LOL
Yeah I thought the colors of the flower esp looked a little flat/faded in number one, I'm gonna work on it some more to make it pop. I liked the framing of it tho personally.

Thanks. I'm not so sure I like the flat/faded look of number one, i'd like to see the flower color pop a bit more but I don't want to over do the butterfly...I'm gonna work on it some more.
