Anyone ever use one of these? I always find myself driving at night wanting to pull over to take a shot of something, and thought it would be good to have one in the car.
Any experiences with one of these or recommendations would be appreciated.

I've seen them and thought that under certain circumstances they might be helpful. Generally, though, window shots like that are usually pretty spontaneous, so I carry a piece of rubber insulation of the sort that's used to wrap water pipes (split down one side). I put the window halfway up (or down, depending on where it started), slip the insuation over the window, and rest the lens on it. It's just a lot quicker, easier, and less expensive. It's certainly as stable as a monopod, if not moreso.

I've been thinking about getting one of these Car Window Camera Mounts as well. Though atm I do exactly what Tom does and it works good.
The following link has images of the Bogen, Hakuba and Bushnell Camera Window Mounts. There are a couple others but these are the ones I've looked at thus far.

The benefit to the Bogen ball head is that you have greater flexibility in camera positioning, the Hakuba and Bushnell both have vertical/horizontal axis. There are a couple others out there which have more versatile or wider clamp range for mounting on a variety of surfaces and I've even noted a suction cup mount; though I wouldn't trust putting my 10D's welfare on the bet of a suction cup.

It would work like a bean bag, but hold the beans.
