Car window mounts?? [Archive] - Canon Digital Photography Forums

Anyone ever use one of these? I always find myself driving at night wanting to pull over to take a shot of something, and thought it would be good to have one in the car.
Any experiences with one of these or recommendations would be appreciated.

Just a peice of pipe insulation on the top of the window is all I ever use... works great.

Unless you have a very long tele...

CDS, that is great for daytime and I use it a lot, but it isn't so good at night.... :)

I use the Canon 2.8 400MM L glass on a
Kirk Enterprises WM-2 window mount.

Works great and is easy on/off.

i roll down my window part way (depending upon the subject matter) and prop my g3 on it (while holding onto it, of course ;)). It provides a steady and pragmatic surface!
