I predict we will see an ultrawide or even fisheye for 1.6 crop sensor cameras VERY soon

I reckon canon NEED to offer this for the 1.6/1.3 crop pro brigade!

you heard the rumor here first:rolleyes:

I think that the 15 mm fisheye is unique enough that it will remain a low-volume lens. It is a very good lens though.

I haven't heard a lot of good information on the 14 mm, and maybe that is a good reason for its lack of popularity.

Canon could use a revised 20mm f/2.8 or a new lens around the 18-20 mm range for all formats.

Tokina has an interesting new 10-17mm f/3.5 fisheye zoom.

Which size ultrawide prime are you thinking about? Even Canon's best, the 14mmL, isn't as good as its $1700 tag would have you hope (see the 16:9 lens archive for a review). I doubt that Canon could make an ultrawide prime that would perform much better than the 10-22 or the Tokina 12-24 already do.
