We went to NZ for a month (*sigh* 16 years ago) and can't wait to go back. Does that count? Steinlager, the Blackshirts, and cheese and onion sandwiches! Maybe I can make your next photo meet! :)

Chris -- welcome to POTN & the GKPE (Great Kiwi Photography Expedition) team! Fran aka "NordieBoy" is from your neck of the woods, so are a few others who pop in every once in a while.
As Mark & Clive mention -- do a search for GKPE and you'll end up finding a whole heap of activities... though you'll want to stick with the "General Ramblings" thread to keep up with the goss.
Cheers!

Me...never been over before. Just wanted to get out of the UK. Came over 5 years ago and haven't been back yet. Born in London but Welsh. I think this country is THE place if you like taking pictures. I'm a few hours drive from Fiordland, Mount Cook/Tekapo, Central Otago and also the Catlins.
Love the exchange rate...bought myself a 1D2N a month ago.
As for Southend, the way we're playing at the moment (played 10, won 0) you'd probably be more than welcome for a guest appearance.

Welcome mrkgoo, don't worry about posting - it's a very inclusive forum! You'll learn a lot more by discussing and asking questions when you don't understand! There are some very good photographers on this forum, and most people only post their best shots - don't be scared if yours don't look like theirs, especially if you're just starting out.
