I don't understand what controls the creation of the folders in which the D30 stores photos.
If I clear a CF card and start shooting the new photos all go into a folder with a name that starts with today's date. Sometimes when I resume shooting the next day(without clearing) the new photos go into the old exisiting (yesterday's name) folder. On other occasions I have removed the CF card to show it to someone, resumed shooting and found the new photos in a new folder with today's date.
What gives?
Somehow I'm able to control this folder creation/name but can figure out what action on my part controls the folder creation/selection.
I recall seeing something the manual about folders, but can find it again.
Sure someone out there understands this little detail.
