I wanted to find out how many of you use the sharpness on the camera vs PP? Almost every picture I've taken I have to sharpen in PP. I currently have my 20d set to neutral. I think most pictures that I've taken I prefer it to be sharper. However the lens 24-70 2.8L that I use most tends to be on the soft side. I've been thinking maybe I should try the camera's function and see if that reduces my PP session. Any thoughts?

Thanks.
Dennis

Well you can shoot sharper out of the camera, but it is nicer to have control over it in photoshop. But then if you don't like the photoshop part, you can try +1 or +2, depending how sharp. Contrast levels can help effect that look too.

Once you sharpen in camera, it's done. You can't go back (we both know we're talking JPG's here - right?). Sharpening in Photoshop gives you far more control and if you overdo it, you can backtrack and try again.
