I have an older EF 28-70mm lens that I cannot find a hood for. I purchased this years ago with the EOS 630 that I had. I have talked to Canon, and they told me to just get a generic one that would fit a 52mm filter thread. The problem is that this part of the lens is what moves in/out when you adjust the zoom. I need something that clips over the outside of the lens like the ET-65III does on my new 85mm lens. I explained this to them, and they told me that they didn't have any additional information that they could provide. I might be able to use a screw on one if I put a couple filters or something on to extend it out beyond the point of which it moves inside the lens. Does anyone have any thoughts our experience with this lens. I also have the older 100-300mm 1:5.6. They told me that the ET-62II will work on this lens. I hope they are right, because I just ordered one. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..
