Hi

I'm a new member and am finding this site invaluable for tips and info from more professional photographers than myself.

I am about to set up a new website (my gallery is currently online using pbase.com) and have seen lots of other people's sites with a watermark on their photos. I can make a basic website but have no idea how to put this watermark on my shots. Can anyone tell me? Do I have to buy special software? Or learn HTML? I would appreciate any tips.

Thanks
Lynne

You can use Porta to generate the images for the site (it automatically creates thumbnails AND watermarks the full-size images (it copies the selected images to a nominated folder). The software is FREE, and you can find it here... http://www.stegmann.dk/mikkel/porta/

For web viewing I then use SimpleViewer, (just select the SimpleViewer option in Porta and it automatically uses the correct templates). SimpleViewer (also FREE) can be found here... http://airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/

Good luck with the project!
