Hi guys am looking to get a canon 50mm 1.8 lens as soon as possible as will be going on a trip soon and need it for evening shooting. My local shops are all out of stock or don't carry canon. I am looking about online for one where would you suggest to buy online for fast shipping to Florida. Thanks in advance. Most places online seem to be in NY or California and they have crazy 2 day shipping prices. Also one shop online works out reasonable but the lens is 'grey' which I'm assuming means imported, would this be bad to buy?

I buy alot of lenses on ebay, often i find ebay sellers far more competitive and often find the shipping much quicker than alot of the bigger stores.

You can ask ebay seller to ship USPS Priority Mail 2-3 days. It's much faster and cheaper than UPS ground for small package.

Or maybe just post it on B&S to see if there's anyone close to you that's selling.

If you really need it that fast, you may have to pay a lot for shipping.

One of the unfortunate facts about photography is the major stores tend to be clumped into certain areas (Mostly NYC) and it can be a pain for people not in those areas to shop quickly.

You might also try Amazon.com, you can select your shipping method and get thing pretty quick generally. They are generally competitive with prices, and often times you can also buy from one ofthe major camera stores through them too.
