My Canon S100 (otherwise known as IXUS) has a flash that no longer seems to work. The camera can still take pictures as long as it does not need to use the flash. If it does need to use the flash, it starts doing its auto-focusing thing, but the green ready light never comes on, and thus I can never fully depress the shutter button.
Does anyone recognize this problem? Do you think I should replace the flash blub itself (from the outside it looks fine, so I'm not sure how to diagnose whether its still working), or the flash "igniter" assembly? If so, any advice?
