Here are some pics of the ruddy turnstone, unfortunatly they are not in a "natural " surrounding. The wharf in Summerside is the only place I have seen these birds here. The people fishing for mackeral told me these birds show up every year when the mackeral start to run. Must be the free handout of capelin that is tossed to them.

#1 group shot of the juvies I believe

Hopefully I'll find some of these on my next shorebird stalk in a natural setting. Thanks for looking, C @ C always welcome.

The last two are my favorites...both excellent shots. :-)

The last one gets most of my attention for the great low angle , the great light, the wonderful bokeh and catchlight in the eye. Beautiful. The 3rd one would be my second choice for the exposure, detail and bokeh.

The last two are my favorite, very nice! I kinda like the red concrete or whatever it's sitting on. Nice how it reflects in the bird's feathers.

For pose, detail, sharpness, colour and bokeh, definitely the last shot which is composed beautifully, following closely behind in the next to the last shot.
All very good shots Trevor, well done.

Great shots, I haven't seen the ruddies around here since they went North and it is fun to see the juveniles.

May not be in a natural habitat: however, they are very nice, especially the third & fourth. Thanks for sharing.
