I am wanting to find a place to print some pictures I am going to mat and frame for future small gallery shows where I live. I already use a framing place where I live but have no idea where to go to get my digital pictures enlarged. And how large can digital pictures be enlarged and still look great? If I send them off somewhere I have no idea how large to have them printed. Is there a test or some way to find this out by using the computer?

If you are going to be showing off your pictures in a show, you probably want to take your pictures to a local camera store or photo lab to have them enlarged. They can also give you an idea of how large you can make them before they start looking "bad". Without knowing the size of your images in terms of resolution it'll be nearly impossible for anybody here to tell you how large you can make them.

Also, if you want to see what they look like before you take them to the photo lab, you can print them yourself from your computer although you probably won't be able to get anything bigger than 8x10 unless you have a wide carriage printer at home.
