I have a 10D and shoot in RAW mode. When using the Camera Raw plugin, even if I use the flash, it says no flash fired in the settings box in the lower left? Is this normal? I use the "P" mode and manually flip up the flash with the small button near the lens. I am a new user with this terrific camera and new to the wonderful world of Photoshop.

ZipMeister, I think you're on to something here...a bug in the CS Browser. The EXIF info from CS is correct when an external flash is used but not when the internal flash is used. The File VIewer Utility shows the internal flash usage correctly (and even identifies the flash as being internal) so it's definitely a bug with CS or CS does not know how to interpret all the info from the 10D. :(

I did read elsewhere that the CS Raw tool doe snot "get" all the exif info. It seems only Breeze Browser has this aspect perfectly.

PS has never been real EXIF friendly anyway. Unless I'm doing something wrong -- which very well could be as I am not a PS expert -- because everytime I edit a JPEG it totally screws the EXIT info. I also noticed some quirky stuff with the RAW plug-in when it came to the EXIF info. Not that big a deal, but kind of annoying.

Doesn't BreezeBrowser use the Canon SDK? If that's the case, it's no surprise that it's getting it perfectly. :)

Hmmm.... I was considering buying Photoshop CS. I currently use PSP 8 and Breezebrowswer. I was hoping to be able to use one software program to do my raw conversion and regular editing. Would I still want to use BB if I buy PS CS?
