*ps: I dont' care about the input path right now., I will setup a htaccess when I'm done. no security issues here.

I've manually copied a jpg file (all lowercase) to
gallery/input/UPLOAD

(INPUT FOLDER ADDRESS DELETE BY PS)

I then click upload, and its uploaded successfully but I am unable to locate the photo anywhere.


Photo browser says no photo found

ok: I noticed that the upload folder in the upload section points to /www/gallery/albums/normal

which isn't the same as the one in ftp setup..

as well as the resize methods = none..
wonder why is that.

btw; I'm only running the first two downloads on the beta page.

I deleted the input paths on your message. Please realize that by posting address of input folder you reveal your ftp pass(es).

There are some wrong paths there (I fixed them there), and you have been bitten by one bug which is fixed in beta 5 8 (you use beta 4). Do you mind if I update your EE to latest beta and set it all up for you (this means I enter your site with ftp)?

I updated all the versions. I think its the right one now.
ie: started with beta 4 Fix pack 1
add b4 pack 2
added b5 update
b5 fix pack 1
b5 fix pack 2

I can see the photos I last uploaded in the gallery index but not inside the photo browser (in order to make public).

problem solved.

a) first; never patched properly.

b) attempting to MOVE from first exhibition to first exhibition removes the links from the database...

so I created a second exhibition and moved it to there and it works now.

damm. still not fixed. after uploaded 60 images (ok: maybe it timed out. but I checked the normal/thumb/microthumb folders, all 60 images are there).

I tried the move to exhibition trick but it no longer works.

Maybe you should let me fix it. The bug I mentioned has made some oddities in your db and I can set them right.

When it is all set up correctly and db is clean you will not need any "tricks" to use it :)

ok: I dropped the database and created it (originally created by the 1.22 version.. so maybe..)

redid everything. seems to work fine

now all I need is the upload function to recursively look through the UPLOAD folder and auto create an exhibition for each folder name. heh.
