Hello. I have a PowerShort S330, running Windows XP Pro v. 2002. Recently, I noticed that I am unable to download my pictures from the Camera into ZoomBrowser. At the time, I would plug my camera in via USP and a Windows box would pop up asking me which appliacation to open. (Previous to this ZoomBrowser always opened and opened up the Camera/Download window.)

I would select ZoomBrowser EX and nothing would happen. Tried rebooting, etc. Then I installed the latest version of ZoomBrowser, v 4.0.2.120. I discovered how to go to Cameras and Scanners in the Control Panel so that ZoomBrowser is automatically launced when I connect my computer.

The Problem? I can't seem to figure out how to download pictures. The File/Import button is grayed out and no other Camera Window appears. I am able to download pictures if I use the Microsoft version of the picture/camera softwore or Ofoto. The computer and the camera both know they are connected to each other.

Any suggestions on how to download into ZoomBrowser EX again?

OK, here is just a guess...

I don't know the PowerShot S330, but on other PowerShots (for example the G3 I've used) there is a "Communication" setting on the camera. You can set it to "Normal" or "PTP". It must be set to "Normal" to work with Canon's software. You could check if your camera has that and if it's on the right setting.
