IR with 300D

Any 300D users out there take any IR pics with their cameras yet? How sensetive is the 300D to ir?

Hi,

regarding from what I found in the forums at dpreview.com, the 300D behaves the same as the 10D in IR. Both are about 3 f-stops less sensitive to IR as my good old D30.

But there's something else worth mentioning ... not only cams are questionable regarding IR, the lenses too.
The new wide angle lens, which comes bundled with the 300D for example, is horrible for IR ... it causes a bright center spot as many other lenses too.

Some months ago I opened a thread "Lens choices for IR" in the Canon lens forum at dpreview.com ... highly recommended.
