Do you think its possible to shoot a wedding with a (50mm 1.8) (tam 28 - 75 2.8) (tam 19 - 35 3.5 to 5) a metz 45 cl4 and the cannon 30d.
I want to take one on but im thinking i may be just short on equipment. Is there another lens i must have before I should start.
Thanks for your help

If you're unsure enough to ask the question, you're probably not ready to shoot a wedding.

Use your 50 mm 1.8 and the Tamron 28 - 75 2.8.
If the flash connects and fire with your camera you're ok.
Test the flash with your camera.
Pay attention that you have enough CF cards or other storage.
Have spare battery's for the camera and the flash.
And good luck ... ;)

I shot my first wedding with a canon eos 500 and a kit lens with an ON the camera flash.......................i was a dope but it seemed to work - its what you DO with your equipment and how well you know what your doing....

Can you shoot it? Sure. Can you do it well? I doubt it if you're asking these questions. If you're being paid you should have a through knowledge of what's required, how to achieve it, and backup gear.

I would only do it if it was a friend or someone that otherwise wouldnt get any wedding pics... to give you a chance to practise hands on.

I think it's been said, but I'll say it anyway, if you have to ask then the answer is no. The one thing you have to be absolutely sure of before you take on a wedding is that you can produce the results.
Try to do some gigs as a second shooter and once you know you can do it, then you are ready.

I agree. If you want to start shooting weddings, find a photographer who wants an assistant/second shooter and do that for awhile (like someone suggested).

Thats what I did too, now I'm a main photographer for them and take assistants of my own with me.

Thanks for the advice. Ive been trying to assist for a pro but im finding it hard to find someone to take me on let alone help shoot as a second photographer. Im confident i could do an ok job but i guess ok does not make the mark with weddings. Ill keep trying with the assistant thing.
Thanks for your Help
