External flash for A70

Is there an option to add an External Flash to the A70?
I'm suffering from Red Eye problems nearly on every shot. I understood that an external flash can help.

Search this forum. There are several threads on this subject. Basically any external flash and flash slave will work using manual mode.

That's interesting that the slave flash will work in the manual mode. I bought a slave flash for my Casio Digicam. I tried it with the Canon A70 in auto mode and it didn't work. I was told that most digicams don't work with Slave flashes because they use a double flash which foils the elctronics of the slave. I am encouraged to try it again.
