These shots are taken during the Sunrise Jazz and Rhythm Festival held in August in Malaysia. It's an annual festival.
That's Alda on Bass and Az on Guitar. Both are very good musicians.

Hey Kyele, Nice shooting......
2 is real nice and easy on the eyes. 3 is great and tougher to deal with cause of the tilt. Is there room for improvement? I'll have to look at them again later again cause they are very fine now.

Kyels,
The second time around the pics look better. # 4 is serious music to be interpreted by serious musicians, novices wouldn't understand the concentration and focus it takes to perform making it all look easy.
#3 looks a lot more relaxing now and the guy actually looks "laid back". The emerald green guitar, is real fine and radiates a lot of mood to the picture. That all for now, Later,
Mine Equip. (all Canon): 30D Bod., 50mm 1.4 USM, 50mm 1.8, 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 not USM kit stock, 28-135mm 3.5-5.6 IS USM Wide Angle Telezoom, 75-300mm 4.0-5.6 Telezoom, RS-80N3, several tripods, mono pod, no flash yet, dozens of filters/close up lenses.

Wow. Nice gears you have there.
Yes, they are very good musicians, both Alda and Az. I've seen them perform many times and I am intrigued by the way they play.

Clever job on #1. Generally well captured images but a touch soft.

Thanks Dwight.
Any ideas on how to make it better?

Well, first I think you should go to the UserCP page (see link in upper left in blue menu bar just under the forum pathname) and turn on IMAGE EDITING OK so people can edit and reload your images. Then you need to know that images need sharpening AFTER they have been resized and before being saved. It would also be nice if you could preserve the EXIF information.
As for your images, I think you need to have normal vertical/horizontal on a majority of them ... the odd angles work for one or maybe two but then it is trite and confusing to the eye. The last image, while interestingly cropped creates an empty space where there is no particular interest ... unless someone wanted to drop text onto it.

I like the advice regarding the process of posting each PIC, cause it directly applies to mine newbee posting attempts too....
Also, the shooting "Properties" feature of Canon's Zoom Browser EX Software (it came with the new camera), permits all camera setting specifics of each shot to be posted as well.

Dwight,
Thanks for the advices. Will definitely take note of them when I am shooting next time.
(:
As for the last picture, through my eyes, it looked okay with the empty space there and I left it because in case Az might want to add some writing to it.Hence the reason it's there.
