Why choose the slingshot 200 over 100? I don' t know the difference yet but am looking into getting one of them. I'll have to check out the Orion now that you've posted a question on it. My interest is piqued.

There are several threads going a year back on this forum, search for "slingshot 200". I have contributed to several of them. If you are collecting several (3+) lenses, which you are, you will not be happy with the slingshot as your only bag. You may squeeze everything in there, but it will be uncomfortably heavy on just one shoulder. Also the bag is made from relatively soft foam, and will distort its shape making it harder to open/close. However, the Slingshot is a wonderful and accessible design. It just isn't at its best crammed to the gills. Get a larger backpack design, you will eventually fill it up with gear. Then get a slingshot for when you want to travel lighter and quicker. Works great!

I packed a ton of stuff in my Slingshot 200.

However, I will be selling that bag after only using it once because in theory the concept of being able to swing the bag around and access it without removing it is very good... in practice is a whole another story. It winds up twisting your clothes around with it. I spent more time fixing my clothes than I did using the bag.

I vote for the sling shot. I can fit my 1dsmk2, 85L, 135, 3 flashes (550,550,580), epson p2k, spot meter, memory, 3 lumiquest soft boxes for flashes. easy to use and great design!!!

If you dont have cheap clothes like ClickClick, they wont twist while swinging the bag! :):) j/k. never had a problem with this.

I can't help it because I find those silk pirate shirts from International Male to be en vogue and the next fashion trend just waiting to hit.
