Hey Guys, when i shot the Fratellis the other night i had just learnt how to do 3D imagry, so i thought il try it live and find a niche lol, dont go stealing my idea now lol, well its probably been done before but hey.
This picture is of the drummer and pv he wasnt still and i only had one camera, so had to be as quik as i could, but it works take a look, really hope you ca see it, all the monitors and stands and cymbals tc really stand out, im pleased with it!

and ideas how i could put a little bit of motion blur on the arms then it may look just that lil better.

If you dont know how to view it 3D, well i sit just a bit further than an arms distance away from screen and relax your eyes untill, you see 3 of the same images and then focus in on the middle one untill the side two go blurry and the middle goes really sharpe and fits in!
Hope it works, yeah its not the est 3D iv seen from this board, but iv not seen live ones here before and not bad for first attempt, i think anyway lol.
Cheers
James....

When doing sterograms you want to try and keep both images as simlar as possible, moving subjects arent always the best target when doing them with one camera. I say this because the differences in the photos makes the sterogram a bit more stressful on the eyes and those differences stand out (not really in a good way). Other than the differences between the pictures the sterogram came out pretty nice. I hope to see more from you.

To freeze action in stereo, Livewire, you need a beamsplitter lens or a pair of synchronised cameras. The method you used is not suitable. In this case the retinal rivalry caused by the drummer's arm is obvious and uncomfortable to view, Nontheless, this is a good first attempt! :-)

yo, Balliolman whats a beamsplitter lense then? as i said before first attempt at something i never done and only know how to do it with still objects lol. i think that cuz it is a live drummer and he was going for it maybe i could put some blur on the arm or something??
Cheers Guys

You probably know about the two lens 3 D cameras marketed from time to time. Don't they come with a pair of glasses for viewing the image in 3D?

I like the idea...what does the beam splitter do?
