I need to put together about 4 different proof magazines really quick. I know I can get them from mpix, but thought about printing them myself.

Question for those of you that offer these and print them yourself ... do you always print on glossy photo paper or do you print to bright white paper?

Also ... being somewhat new with PS ... can the photos on the contact sheets be moved to the right to allow for binding?

Thanks

Certainly in CS2 theres a way to fudge this, dont know about previous versions as I am new to CS2 and havent really used the older versions much.

When you make your contact sheets knock 3 or 4 cm's off the document width of the sheets then make the sheets as normal.

Once they have been made select print with preview, untick the "center image" option in the print dialogue, scale them to fit the page manually and then you can just grap the box in preview and shift it to the right so you have your margin.

No doubt someone more expereinced will know a better way of doing it but this may work for you in the meantime.

My recommendation is to have a professional place print and bind it, it'll save you a bunch of hastle unless you're experience with this stuff. My pro lab offers proof books, spiral bound, cheap.
