I have just FINALLY upgraded to the 10D from the D60 (thanks to Best Buy letting me have the display model!). With the D60 I have always shot RAW and converted to gain the dark, blurry file for correcting in Photoshop. I have been using Pekka's EXCELLENT D60 digital workflow in Photoshop - just sat back and let the actions do their work!

My question(s) - what do people do with the 10D RAW images after conversion? Although I log into this site daily, have a missed a corresponding 10D digital workflow from Pekka? Or do people do their own thing and devise individual actions to use? I am not above doing that but am unsure where is the best place to start to get the best out of the images. Appreciate any help on this.

I'm relatively new to photography (6 months) and have just rolled my 10D over for the second time (20,000+ pictures now).

I'm using CaptureOne LE to quickly review and discard the unsatisfactory images. Then output 16 bit TIF files for processing.

I know nearly everyone is using PhotoShop, but I found PictureWindow software much easier to quickly process a greater volume of images with that PhotoShop. $100 for the CaptureOne + $100 for the PictureWindow and I'm spending my time getting better at photography instead of agonizing with PhotoShop.

I just added a SmartDisk FastTrax digital wallet and 2nd CF card to my arsenal. Thursday I was out on a fishing boat and was able to take 1,500 full size RAW pictures. What a time that was.

So those are a couple of thoughts on workflow from one person, anyway.

You've been very busy. Let me ask. If you shoot 1500 images in one day on a fishing boat, what becomes of them? How many are usable? Are you selling them for fishing boat passengers? Or are you just exercising the shutter?

For a PS workflow, I found the articles at Luminous Landscape to be very helpful:
