First day at work, dress help

Hi,
on Monday I am going to work first time, I will work in art gallery as activity organizer. Any idea if this dress (in place where is lot of art people) is ok for first time at work?

Is that a dress or a skirt and shirt. If it's a skirt- it is appropriate but the shirt is not. If it's a dress- sorry, the top isn't good. A little more conservative on your first day. That said- I'm sure you will look stunning in whatever you choose.

it is a skirt and top i planed to take some blue mini jacket without buttons over it.
too bad it is already on monday, no time for shopping and already spend like 10 hours trying to imagine what to take ... oh well.

the top is definitely casual, but as you said, dress it up with the jacket, and it will look better, don't take the jacket off except in the lunch room. When u have time, buy a nice blouse with sleeves.
