Does anyone know if there is a new software upgrade or service pack for the 10D?

There is no "Service Pak" in the usual terms but upgrades of firmware and software components.

The firmware update to version 2.0 is here:
http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/customer/firmware.html

And here's list of the latest software releases:
http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/customer/psswup.html

You'll have to check your current SW versions to see if any are newer.

Best of Luck!

Tried the link did not see anything regarding the 10D only powershot. Is there a similar link for the 10D?

The 10D is the first camera on the list.

http://www.powershot.com/ciw/ppg/EOS10D.html takes you to the PowerShot page.

Here are the versions I have vs. the latest listed:

Remote Capture 2.7.1.15 vs. 2.7.3
File Viewer 1.2.1.16 vs. 1.2.2
Zoom Browser 4.1.0.46 vs. 4.0.2 (huh?)

I assume that since the 10D route takes you to the PowerShot page, they use the same SW but maybe they just screwed up.

Anybody know?

Thanks - got 2.0 and will install.

Specifically I am interested to see if they have addressed the harsh transitions to black (black clip) when shooting with enhanced contrast.

All the best,
Don

Good grief. Here's the actual download/instruction page that I got to from selection "10D" from the earlier 'powershot' link.

If you have a question, please phrase the subject line accordingly, e.g. use a question mark. Otherwise many people open the post because they are curious to get some information but finally it's only a question they cannot answer.

Thanks

I believe, however, the title to the thread serves the same purpose, whether it has a Q mark or not. Those of us who are interested in the subject in any way will look at the the thread, particularly the responses.
