...and more related to music than pictures but I'll start here.
I am wanting to put together a collection of photos with a program that has lots of neat transition slides and then you add music to it. Was going to do this at school with a collection of random shots over the course of the semester. I think it would be a good seller, but I know I can't just dub some popular song on there without running into legal issues.
How does one even begin finding out what kind of royalties you have to pay to use a particular song for such a project? We're not talking about mass production here...just a small rural school setting with a few popular songs.
Any one able to answer or point me in the right direction?
