I talked to some one today who told me that a generation of quality would be lost copying an image file to CD and another would be lost copying it back on the next computer. I thought she was wrong. If anyone has info on this subject please let me know.
I thought that copying 1's & 0's was alll there was to it in this matter.

Your informant is talking horse****. This is digital we are talking about as you rightly suspected. Obviously, there is a potential for corruption in any transfer process, but this is not per se a characteristic of the technology.
Copy and be well,
Roger

No, copying a jpg file would just duplicate the original. I am talking making a copy from explorer not opening and copying. Try it and check for yourself
